QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
|
Essential:-
|
M.Sc. Ist class in Medical
Entomology or M.Sc. Ist class in Life Science. |
|
Desirable:- |
Ph.D.(Medical Entomology) or 3
years of research/ experience in the field of vector borne diseases as
proven by publications in indexed biomedical journals. |

Job
Requirement:- |
Planning and carrying out research
in the field of vector borne diseases/vector biology and control/medical
entomology and any other duties as assigned by the Director of the
Centre. |

Age:-
|
Below 45 years. SC/ST/OBC/Departmental
candidates are allowed relaxation in accordance with the Central Govt.
Rules in force. |
|
Private practice is not allowed. He/She
will be governed by the new restructured defined Contributory Pension System as
per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic
Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22/12/2003
effective from 01/01/2004.

Post Bag No.13, Dollygunj, Port Blair – 744101, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and
application forms duly completed in all respects may be sent on the same address
on or before the last date along with a crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) for
Rs.25/- payable to the Director, Regional Medical Research Centre, Port Blair on
or before the due date. In complete/late applications or those without postal
orders will not be entertained. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidate
or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to
selection/recruitment shall be disqualification.
Note : Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the
interview/personal discussion, the applicants will be short-listed for this
purpose. The decision of the Director General, ICMR will be final in this
regard. Candidates called for personal discussion for the post, 2nd class rail
fare by shortest route on production of documents will be provided. The above
